QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
  • Tertiary qualifications in Bookkeeping / Accounting / Business Management/Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within the admin and financial management responsibility

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS

The incumbent will be required to perform various tasks inherent to the position such as:

  • Oversee and supervise the administrative function of the organization
  • Ensuring effective and efficient utilization of employees and resources under his/her control
  • Monthly administration process review and control, ensuring that deadlines are met in line with requirements.
  • Preparation of monthly accounts to trial balance
  • Reconciliation and payment of Accounts including Subcontractors accounts
  • Preparation of monthly standard journals for input into the accounting system
  • Maintaining the general ledger and monthly general ledger account reconciliations
  • Monthly reconciliations of general ledgers to sub-ledgers
  • Preparation of monthly EFT payments to Suppliers and requisition journal entries as required
  • Preparation of monthly VAT recon
  • Process payments; credit requests/sundry invoices and journals
  • Reconcile accounts as and when required
  • Review and process cash books
  • Balancing bank reconciliations
  • Process and reconciliation of pre-payments
  • Process of financing liabilities
  • Process Monthly Volumes invoice
  • Preparation of all supporting information for annual audits
  • Preparation of monthly production volumes report
  • Reconciliation of all diesel usage and journals
  • Responsible for Petty Cash Reconciliation and payment
  • Ensuring effective utilization of Human Resource Policies & Procedure in relation to Training &
    development, disciplinary, and grievance procedures
  • General admin ad hoc functions
